Field hockey in the Lower Hudson Valley

Class C seeds

October
26

Sorry for the delay. I was waiting to hear from Section 1 chair Sue Hughes. Originally, the Class C seeding meeting was scheduled for Thursday before it was moved to today (Friday).

So, without any further fanfare, here we go:

Tuesday, Oct. 30
First round

No. 5 Pawling (6-9-3) at No. 4 Valhalla (7-5-4), 2:30 p.m. – Valhalla blanked Pawling, 3-0, late in the season. Valhalla finished on a run to earn the fourth seed. However, beware of Pawling, led by coach and former Mahopac great, June Lagan.

Thursday, Nov. 1
Semifinals

No. 5 Pawling-No. 4 Valhalla winner at No. 1 Bronxville (14-1-1), 2:30 p.m. – Bronxville swept Valhalla, 1-0 and 2-0, during the regular season, and owned a victory, 3-1, and draw, 2-2, with Pawling.

No. 3 Hastings (8-4-5) at No. 2 Pleasantville (10-5-2), 2:30 p.m. – Pleasantville shut out Hastings, 4-0, in their only regular-season meeting.

Saturday, Nov. 3
Championship

At Lakeland High School, 1 p.m.
