Kevin Kelly named Manhattanville head coach

I just received an email from the Manhattanville SID office stating that former Rye coach Kevin Kelly has been named the new Manhattanville field hockey coach.

Hudson Valley field hockey team selected

Hudson Valley scholastic field hockey coach Sharon Sarsen and assistant Sara Gonzalez selected the 2008 team that will be out to defend the program’s gold-medal run in Binghamton in July.

Here is the 2008 squad:

Tony Pinciaro Tony Pinciaro grew up in Silver Lake and is a 1981 Harrison High School graduate. Tony has been covering field hockey for The Journal News since 1999. He has had the pleasure of watching many fine players from Lakeland's Colleen Carney to Mamaroneck's K.J. Warren to Rye's Nina Fulmer to Clarkstown South's Lauren Mecchella to Lakeland's Melissa Gonzalez. Tony is married with two children, 9-year-old Elena, a fifth-grader, and 6-year-old Vincent, a second-grader, and lives in Nanuet.
