I don’t think I would be accused of being off base on this when I say that Bronxville is the team to beat in Class C. Now, my wife would say I have a grasp for the obvious and I do have to agree with her.
Bronxville, which beat Hastings, 4-2 earlier this season, swept the season set with a 3-0 victory as Brooke Gogel scored twice and Jessica Murrer had three assists. Since a season-opening loss to Rye, Bronxville has reeled off 11 consecutive wins, including eight by shutout. Murrer and Gogel on the forward line are a handful. Murrer, who is known for his finishing ability in the circle, displayed her creative side today, including a beautiful reverse sweep that Gogel converted.
What went unnoticed today was that new mom and Bronxvile “volunteer” coach Courtnie Egan brought her two-month-old son to the game. I think the young Mr. Egan is Bronxville’s good-luck charm.

Thank you for the scouting report on this young lady. Should a Section 1 team face Hudson Falls in the state playoffs, the coaches know who to watch out for.
However, don’t you think you should posting this on the Albany Times Union field hockey blog?
