What a great game to watch! Lakeland and Put Valley played some excellent field hockey. Congratulations to both teams. Good luck to PV next weekend against LI.

    TO PV #1

YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH
I GUESS THAT’S THE COVERAGE THEY WERE LOOKING FOR …..

  5. AverageMom

1st time posting to this site: Kudos to both teams on a well played game. It was anyone’s game the entire evening. In the end, no matter how well both teams played, people will have something to say about it. It is just sometimes hard to fathom the behavior of some people on this post. May I make a suggestion to PV #1 – get some sleep. Posting a response at 4:16 AM seems a bit obsessive, don’t you think; and your behavior is no better than the person you are trying to zing.

    Tony-
Whats Garden City’s record? Have they not lost a game this season and is this the team that’s ranked # 8 in the Country? Is there a way to check out their stats?

  7. pv #1

Is the shoe a little tight when it’s on the other foot Average Mom?? Just thought you should receive a dose of your own medicine- I guess I got the right dosage.

  8. BIRDSEYE

If you ask me, by reading the article it makes it seem like lakeland won the title? But we all know that is not true. Comon…. dont you think Put Valley deserves a little more respect?

YOU PUTNAM VALLEY GIRLS PLAYED AN OUTSTANDING GAME AND VERY WELL DESERVED IT!!

  9. 12rock

Both teams played a great game. All Girls in this game deserve credit for a job well done . Lakeland sure did have their opportunities in the last 4 minutes …...Yet P.V. showed a lot of heart & grit.. Congrats to Put Valley….

Special shout out ! Go Hannah

  10. fhfan08

A great game played by both teams. yes great article in lohud by tony. Good luck to Pv next week. Your gonna have your hand s full. Can’t wait to read the article next week!!!
    Tony great job this weekend!!!

  11. wow

p.v might of shown alot of heart but lakeland did too they fought so hard n exceded expectations of everybody had on them after losing so many seniors last year!

  12. fhfan08

    well said wow!!!

  13. fh101

its been a good season for the putnam valley girls but their season is definitely going to end on saturday, garden city is amazing as as much heart as the pv girls might have garden city’s skills are too developed, p.vs has done well but lets face it luck doesn’t beat skill.. and id hate to be a girl on the putnam valley varsity field hockey team on saturday at 6 o clock

  14. BIRDSEYE

    hey fh101 fan

PV HAS MUCH MORE TO OFFER THAN JUST THEIR HEARTS…
FACE IT THEY HAVE SKILL TOO AND IS WASN’T LUCK THAT GOT THEM THIS FAR !!!!! DONT’ WORRY THE GIRLS ON P.V. WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD ….....

    GO P.V.

  15. g11

PV HAS SKILL TO SPARE..WE’LL SEE ON SATURDAY WHOSE THE BETTER TEAM!!!

  16. playthegame

It’s funny that whenever PV comes out on top it’s considered luck…. I guess fh101 is hinting that Rye and Lakeland are lacking skill… i would’nt go that far.. but I would go far enough to say Putnam Valley controlled both those games, and yes, came out on top.

  17. pvfhfam

Lets face it people, valley has worked their hardest to end up on top, and its oviously been working. no matter how much you put them down on your blogs isnt going to make them play worse. they bring their game whenever they play on that field. dont just think its luck when they beat the top seed, they put their heart out on that field and go all out everyday.pv deserves it. lets go ladies show them whats up! PVFH

  18. oppeue

this is really immature, how everytime putnam vally gets past sectionals its conisdered a fluke or just luck.. can I meantion that putnam valley varisty field hockey team has only been around for 8 years ? sorry to say these girls have more skill than any other team

Good job girls! we think you deserve it!!

  19. pvfh

fh101: id love to be a putnam valley field hockey player anytime, anyday. Those girls have the heart and the talent to do anything. They bring their game wherever they go. lets go valley!!!! DO WORK =]

  20. fh101

wow i didn’t know that i would offend anyone that much but i guess that just shows what fear does..and yes we will see who the better team is, you girls better start forgetting about your pride because it will all be lost after you play garden city..ill say good luck but i doubt itll help!

  21. g11

ew we dont need your luck!

  22. pvfh

    and were not scared

  23. pvfhfam

dont worry about valley, they will bring their own game… they have learned their responsiblities on the field and know how to work as a team, better yet a family. instead of putting putnam valley down think of how immature your being, while they read these messages, and get pumped to beat garden city so they get a little tast of what valley is made of!!!

  24. OGO17

    fh101

    you
you have another thing coming to you
all you Garden City girls have no idea how much fight, class, skill, and teamwork this Putnam Valley Team has
you guys are gonna get punched in the mouth with their gameplay and will be leaving the field wishing you didnt say what you have said on here

    GO
    P.V.
I know u got it in you

  25. Tony Pinciaro

    fh101 –

It sounds like you are a Garden City fan. Don’t come on this blog and bash Putnam Valley, saying that they were lucky. Putnam Valley deserved to win the sectional title because it outplayed Rye and did the job against Lakeland.

We also don’t need you saying that you wouldn’t want to a be a Putnam Valley player at 6 pm Saturday.

Do us all a favor, save your trash talking for another newspaper’s field hockey blog.

  26. pvfhfam

    hell yea tony!!!

  27. doituppv

lets go putnam valley we know we have the heart and the talent to win this game

  28. lets_go_pv

This is your game girls. You all have a lot of skill and heart to play this game and you play not only for yourselves but for each other and Kelly

  29. SPORTS FAN

You go PV Tigers. Bring it home… Luv yas! Your the best!!! I WANNA GO TO STATES!!!!

  30. pvdad42

    fh101 fan

p.v. fears nothing…..which has already been proven…. p.v. eats fear for breakfast
    go p.v. bon appetite !!!!!!

  31. OGO17

#1- To think that a long island team would come on and sign on a Loud blog is a little strange, this sounds of a local team Putnam Valley Beat already- if not, and you are a long island team you say you didn’t mean to offend but yet you left negative comments about the team
Its one thing to put positive comments about your own team, but in most cases it would be offensive if you were to say negative things about another team. is this not true?

#2 your second blog is also very offensive, so much for being civil

#3 you are saying there season and playoff record is luck

In an essence then, you are saying all section 1 teams are not that good o Putnam Valley Gt lucky 17 times during the season and beating 2 higher ranked opponents, thats luck?

#4 You say you would rather not be us so your saying you wold rather not be playing in a regional final game. both teams should be proud of themselves and the season they had

    #5- talk is cheap
once again i get the feeling this is an upset player fro a team Pt Valley has beat already

    Good Luck to Both teams

  32. stroked

fh101 I don’t know who you are but you’re definitely not from Garden City, because we don’t talk like you. We never EVER knock an opponent or trash talk like that. Especially about a team that was able to beat BOTH Rye AND Lakeland back to back. I am happy to see that posters on Tony’s blog are seeing through it.
