What I'd like to know is why they had teams from Dutchess into this area. From what I've been told it's based on school size. Seems to me that playing over 1 hour away isn't smart in this day and age for fuel. Shouldn't they stay in the Mid Hudson area and not come down this far? Aren't there schools up that way for them to play against? Rye isn't exactly in their back door. How do they come up with where teams play?

Williamsville North had to go this same tough route last season on our way to winning a state championship. After our Regional win over Penfield, we then faced off with Greene in the double Regional, faced Ward Melville in the State Semi-Final before meeting Lakeland for the State Championship. Knowing we would be facing this road ahead I was excited to play Greene to keep the kids level of intensity up. Everyone in the state will eventually pay their dues with the double Regional game. It definitely prepares you for the intense play at states.
