Rockland Tsunami, the growing field hockey club program that includes players from multiple Rockland County high schools, as well as from Westchester County and New Jersey, is conducting tryouts.
The club holds practice sessions one-to-two times a month. Individual games and tournaments are played throughout the year.
Registration and tryouts will be held on the following dates:
Under 19 and U16 age divisions: This Saturday, October 19, 7-9 p.m. at the Torne Valley Bubble in Hillburn, New York
U12 and U14 age divisions: October 26, 7-9 p.m., also at the Torne Valley Bubble.
Players must be registered with USA Field Hockey in order to sign up and must bring their membership number with them. When registering online at www.teamusa.org/USA-Field-Hockey players should note Rockland Tsunami as their club.
Players must bring a stick, goggles, shinguards, mouthguard and water to the tryouts, which will includes several skill stations.
