Tony PinciaroTony Pinciaro, who grew up in Silver Lake and is a 1981 Harrison High School graduate, covered the Westchester/Putnam softball beat for six years for The Journal News. This season, he will switch over and handle the Rockland beat. Tony is married with two children, Elena, 11, and Vincent, 7. When he is not covering softball this season, Tony will be cheering for Elena, who will be playing for the Storm in the Nanuet Little League Triple A softball division.

Ciara Walsh and Megan Warning scored goals in the first half and then the defense turned in an outstanding effort as the third seed shocked second-seeded and previously unbeaten Rye. Here we go with today’s games. I was at the Mahopac (9th seed)-Ossining (8th seed) first-round Class A game won by the “O”, 4-2.
