Joe Lombardi did not become familiar with lacrosse until after graduating from both Irvington High School and the University of Dayton — neither of which offered the sport. But it didn't take him long to take a liking to it since it combines elements of several of his favorite sports: basketball, hockey and football. Yes, that score is correct. Rye receieved a goal and an assist from Olivia Nabhan, and goals from Torie Stearns and Courtney Burke in the victory. Stearns scored 95 seconds into the game and Nabhan scored with 11 minutes remaining in the first half.
